Support Elizabeth Warren

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is the centerpiece of the recently passed Wall Street Reform legislation.  If headed by a real reformer, the new agency has the ability to correct many of the worst abuses of financial firms.  As the New York Times said in their endorsement of Elizabeth Warren, she is the regulator who came up with the idea for the agency, is the right person for the job.

Sign our petition to urge President Obama to appoint Elizabeth Warren to head up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

The Senate is expected to vote on Elena Kagan's nomination to the Supreme Court later this week.  Kagan is supported by 5 Republican Senators, as well as a majority of the Democrats; it is anticipated that she will be confirmed as our next Supreme Court Justice.  If confirmed, it would be the first time in history the Court had three women members.
