In celebration of the Martin Luther King holiday, the ADA Education Fund is hosting a panel discussion to address the question of how Dr. King might approach critical policy issues facing the nation today.
Panelists include:
•Hon. Harris Wofford, former U.S Senator from Pennsylvania, advisor to Dr. King and Special Assistant to the President for civil rights issues in the Kennedy Administration.
•Hon. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, former Lieutenant Governor of Maryland
•Ms. Clayola Brown, President, A. Philip Randolph Institute
•Mr. Hilary Shelton, Washington Bureau Director, NAACP
•Rev. Douglas Tanner, Founder and Director, Faith & Politics Institute
The event will be moderated by Ms. Candy Shannon of WPFW-FM, with a musical performance by Mr. Donal Leace, a Washington folk and jazz legend who performed at rallies addressed by Dr. King.
The winning essay from the “What Would Martin Do?” essay contest will also be shared.
