On Wednesday, July 9, the Senate voted 69 to 28 to pass the FISA Amendments Act, with no amendments.

Now, the fight is only beginning. If senators who voted the wrong way on this bill think they've heard the last of us, they are sorely mistaken. At the same time, the 28 senators who voted the right way need our thanks, and we need to let them know that we have their back and will keep fighting this with them.

And we need to keep fighting, because if Congress acts quickly under a new president, there might be a chance to reduce the damage.
