As a friend and supporter of PPI, we cordially invite you to our next 'Lawmakers Luncheon' featuring a discussion with Senator Michael Bennet. Sen. Bennet will discuss a wide range of hot topics in Washington, including the current debate over raising the debt ceiling and public education reform. The discussion will be freewheeling, however, and Senator Bennet will not limit himself to a set agenda. Space will be limited to allow the dialog to be productive.
Michael Bennet is the junior United States Senator from Colorado, where he has served since 2009. Before coming to the Senate, Bennet served most recently as the Superintendent of the Denver Public Schools. He also served as Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice during the Clinton Administration. While serving as Chief of Staff to then-Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, Michael was credited with leading the way on balancing a historic budget deficit. Prior to his service to the city, Michael was a Managing Director at the Anschutz Investment Company, where he managed the restructuring of over $3 billion in corporate debt.
