CPRF[INVITATION] Tuesday 12 February - 9:30am-11:00am - Gender, Masculinity and Conflict Dynamics: Review of Current PracticeGender, Masculinity, and Conflict Dynamics: Review of Current Practice Tuesday, February 12th from 9:30am to 11:00am
The study of gender in conflict situations has primarily focused on women’s leadership and empowerment. The role of men and masculinity in violent conflict situations has unfortunately been lacking. The influence of male actors and masculinity on gender roles in conflict environments can greatly impact both our perceptions of conflict dynamics and how to resolve complex situations. This distinguished panel will reflect on the current practices in the gender based conflict resolution field and what opportunities are present to engage men and forces of masculinity.
