A Walmart in Brooklyn? FUHGEDDABOUTIT!

New York City is one of the few major cities left in the United States without a Walmart.  But the company now plans on opening a location in the Starrett City section of Brooklyn. The working families of NYC deserve better - we need to create jobs that pay a living wage and give back to the commuinity. What we DON'T need is a box store with a lengthy track record of wage violations, gender discrimination, paying below-poverty wages, and violating environmental regulations.

Join New York Communities for Change in telling Walmart:  NOT IN OUR BACKYARD!

Hey Walmart:

The working families of NYC deserve better - we need to create jobs that pay a living wage and give back to the community. What we DON'T need is your track record of wage violations, gender discrimination, paying below-poverty wages, and locking employees in your stores! Your impact on small businesses in the area will ruin our community. Not For Nothin’, Walmart – BUT STAY OUT OF OUR CITY!
