NOT the Way Forward

Just 6 percent of NY homeowners who sought help received a mortgage modification from JP Morgan Chase.

This is NOT how recoveries happen. So NYCC is joining elected officials, clergy, unions and activists to demand that JP Morgan Chase change its unfair practices.  Please join us!

Dear Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase:

Using taxpayer money to kick NY families out of their homes isn't right.

We demand that your company respond to distressed homeowners: by modifying mortgages, covering the cost of an independent arbiter in cases where families are turned down for modifications, and paying restitution to homeowners who have lost their properties unfairly.

That's the real way forward.
