Toxic PCBs from a contaminated light fixture in a classroom leaked on the dress of a fifth grade student during the first day of school at P.S. 41 in Staten Island. There are more than 800 more schools throughout NYC with light fixtures potentially contaminated with PCBs but the DOE has set a ten year timeline for their removal. 10 years is too long! Demand the DOE take immediate action to protect students!
