Several weeks ago, the New York City Council took a historic step to end racial profiling in the NYPD's stop-and-frisk procedures by passing the Community Safety Act. Mayor Bloomberg vetoed the measure, temporarily keeping in place this unjust policy.
But next week, the City Council can end racial profiling for good by overturning Bloomberg's veto and passing the Community Safety Act.
17 City Council Members voted NO on the measure to prohibit racial profiling in Stop-and-Frisk procedures. Tell these members that we can no longer allow our civil rights to be violated, and to Pass the Community Safety Act!
