The New Paul Ryan is out to cut Social Security
Rep. Tom Price (R-GA), who now sits in Paul Ryan’s old Budget Committee chair, is going even further about his plans for Social Security. When speaking at a conservative conference earlier this week, Price said:
Whether it’s means testing, whether it’s increasing the age of eligibility …. whether it’s providing much greater choices for individuals to voluntarily select the kind of manner in which they believe they ought to be able to invest their working dollars as they go through their lifetime. All those things ought to be on the table and discussed.
Raising the retirement age? Cutting middle class benefits and gambling them on Wall Street? That’s unacceptable. We can’t let Chairman Price and his Republican colleagues turn retirement into a luxury for the super-rich.
