Teaching Equity Conference 2017
Join us for the 9th Annual Teaching Equity Conference, a day set aside to creating culturally responsive classrooms where all thrive. This conference is open to all current and future educators interested in exploring and learning about the profession with an equity lens.
Keynote speaker is Daudi Abe, a Seattle-based professor, writer and historian.
Participants will be able to select and attend a workshop during the conference. Workshop offerings are Culturally Responsive Strategies: Classroom Communities -- Certificated; Culturally Responsive Strategies: Classroom Communities -- Classified/ESP; and Culturally Responsive Classroom Management Module 1: Classified and Certificated.
Conference registration fee is $40 online for WEA members ($50 at the door) and $100 for non-members. Six clock hours are available. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Discounted hotel rates at Four Points by Sheraton Seattle Airport South, if needed, are available until April 7, subject to availability. Participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Hotel reservations can be made here.
