WEA HCR Leadership Summit
The WEA Human and Civil Rights Leadership Summit focuses on our collective and individual leadership for racial and social justice from classroom to the association. This includes a Friday HCR Leadership Summit Dinner Keynote and presentation and an all-day Saturday HCR Leadership Summit. This is not a normal conference on equity; this is a targeted HCR Leadership Summit that examines our own leadership structure within the WEA to eliminate institutional racism.
The Friday evening keynote features our WEA Vice President Janie White and the Annual HCR Awards Dinner and presentation at the WEA Headquarters. Saturday includes an all-day HCR Leadership Summit at Lakota Middle School in Federal Way, with a keynote from Washington State Labor Council Secretary Treasurer April Sims.
Clock hours are not available for this event.
Lodging of Friday is on your own. WEA has a contracted room rate of $80 at the Clarion Hotel Auburn, 9 - 16th St. NW.
Space is limited and registration closes at 5 p.m. Dec. 5. Questions? Contact Yvonne O'Neill.
