Help Reach Out to African-American Voters in Low Turnout Precincts
Black Votes Matter and 2016/ 2017 are both critical years for Black Voters in Virginia because so much is at stake with the 2016 Presidential race along with the 2017 Gubernatorial and General Assembly elections. We can make real change on over-criminalization, police misconduct, poverty, education, and mass incarceration with these elections .
People Demanding Action is working with the Virginia State Conference NAACP and many other organizations; we have committed to reaching 240,000 voters throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. We have setup the NAACP Voter Activation Network to allow you to call from home any day of the week from 11am til 9pm.
Phonebank from Home
Regardless of where you live, you can make phone calls to any of the targeted districts in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We have lists of voters available for Richmond, Henrico, Emporia, Brunswick, Roanoke, Petersburg, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Danville, Martinsville, Southampton and Hampton. We will be asking voters three simple questions: 1) do you plan to vote, 2) do you need a ride to the polls and 3) what is your most important issue. Voter turnout in this election could help us bring more progressive voices into both the Senate and the House. All you need is a computer and a phone to get started.
We can setup group or individual trainings (videoconference or Webinar) so that you can make the best use of the Voter Activation Network. It is really easy!
Join me on the phone!
P.S. If you don't have time to make phone calls, a small donation would help. We are recruiting students for paid positions (we haven't achieved free college yet).
